Golf Club - Set
in the heart of the beautiful Devon countryside, only 10 miles from
Barnstaple, is one of the county's, undiscovered golfing gems! Built
in the late 1980's Libbaton has undergone some major changes over the
years. With water coming into play on at least 10 holes it provides
a serious test for the more accomplished player whilst giving the less
proficient an extremely enjoyable day out. Benefiting from thousands
of mature trees and complimented by an extensive tree planting programme
in recent years Libbaton is destined to become one of the finest parkland
tests of golf in the South West. What's more in 2010, on the clubs 21st
birthday, a new 7th hole was opened. A short par 3 of approx 150 yards,
you're firing a tee shot into a green surrounded by large lakes.

Libbaton
has enjoyed huge success in recent years winning Rose Bowl, Basil Steer
and North Devon League, its also been well placed in these and other
county events at times they may not have won. Libbaton prides itself
on its affordability coupled with its relaxed atmosphere. It runs social
functions most weeks through the summer months and at least one a month
through the winter season, all are well attended by the clubs members.
These range from the more formal "Dinner Nights" to Horse
Racing and Bingo nights. It truely is a friendly, informal club!
Libbatons catering staff do the golf club proud! There is an extensive
bar and restaurant menu but if you would like something not on the menu,
just ask ... Nothing is ever too much trouble for them! The golf club
is also happy to cater for Weddings, Birthdays and Anniversaries. |
