| Fynn
Valley Golf Club The testing
18 hole par 70 golf course measures 6391 yds from the white tees and
is set, as the name suggests, overlooking the picturesque Fynn Valley.
Opened in 1991, the parkland course has developed into an interesting
test of golf, with tree-lined fairways, contoured greens and just under
100 bunkers. The 9 hole Par Three Course measures 957 yards and has a par of 27. There is no dress code and club hire is available. This course is ideal for beginners, juniors and those wishing to practice their short game. Maintained to a high standard with bunkers and natural hazards it provides a good test of golf for everyone. |

Stoke
by Nayland Golf Club The Gainsborough
Course measures 7,000 yards with a Par of 72. The beautifully undulating
terrain and four substantial lakes provide golfers of all abilities
with a challenging test of their skills. The 10th requires a drive
and second shot over the same lake, when played from the medal tees,
and has been voted one of the most outstanding holes in East Anglia
by the Professional Golf Association.
The Constable course is equally picturesque, set amongst wooded fairways and several natural water hazards in glorious peaceful countryside. It measures 6,544 yards with a Par of 72, and, as with the Gainsborough, the final hole presents a formidable drive over one of the large lakes, to a plateau green with the clubhouse beckoning beyond. |

Ufford
Park Golf Club Our 18 hole, Par 71 (SS 71), golf
course in Suffolk is generally regarded as an enjoyable yet stern test
of golf. This is testified to by the players involved with the prestigious
events held here such as the PGA Europro Tour as televised on Sky Sports,
and the Best Western Senior Masters.
There is a good selection of short technical and longer holes which circle our central 5 acre conservation area. Water comes into play on 12 of the holes and the risk verses reward debate on each hole makes it particularly popular with more discerning golfers. |

Aldeburgh
Golf Club The Championship Course, ranked 31st in
England by Golf World, is built on maritime heathland and is characterised
by gorse-lined fairways and far reaching views of the River Alde and
the North Sea. Fast-draining, sandy soil ensures that it plays well
throughout the year; in winter the greens and fairways are in excellent
condition with no need for preferred lies, temporary greens or tees.
It is a great course, described by agronomist and R&A adviser Alistair
Beggs as "having amongst the best playing surfaces in the land".
It is also one of Mickey Walker's favourite courses (click Review tab
for more) and is, according to Ken Brown (click Review tab for more)
"well worth the pilgrimage to a club where you will find everything
a game of golf should be".

set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Felixstowe
Ferry Golf Club
The Martello Course at Felixstowe Ferry is the fifth oldest
in England having been established in 1880. 18 holes 6379 yards Par
72, right next to the sea with fabulous views over the East Anglian
coast and Deben Estuary. The course is gently undulating with testing
borrows on the greens. A popular destination for visitors and golf societies. The Kingsfleet, 9 holes 2986 yards, par 35 is available for 'Pay and Play' to all comers. It offers pleasant views across the river Deben and marshes and is as much a challenge as the Martello having two par fives. This is not a pitch and putt course but a true test of golf. |
