The course measures 6,276 yards and has a par and standard scratch of 71. The course is easy to walk with tree-lined fairways and is fondly remembered by all who play it. The course plays longer than its yardage due to the elevations of several greens and fairways and although originally a heath land course, there is now an abundance of mature trees and shrubs all around the course. The greens are true and fast, and have many testing swales and idiosyncrasies.

The course is in excellent condition throughout the year, and as the Michelin Guide says “it is worth a detour”.
