modest in length by the standards of modern course design, recent additional
fairway bunkers give longer hitters pause for thought while the ever
present mature trees that line the majority of the fairways provide
the main defence of the course against all players. A wayward tee shot
into the trees can often be costly on the scorecard. The current remodelling
of some greenside bunkers together with the planned programme of continued
