This par 70 parkland course measures some 6184 yards and is a test for
even the low handicap golfer, offering some outstanding holes. The 5th
hole, the most difficult on the course, plays deceptively long and requires
an accurate drive, followed by a testing downhill approach shot, to
avoid the hazards that surround the green. The 8th is a deceptive dog
leg right. Do you lay up or take on the corner rough? Peter Allis refers
to the Par 3, 14th hole at Wentworth as being very difficult, well we
think our uphill par 3, 15th hole to be even more challenging.
Being located along the top of a ridge of hills, the course is open
to the elements, which must be considered when considering ones next
golf shot. The same exposure does ensure that the course is well drained
and is therefore generally always open when other local courses are
closed.
