Filton Golf Club The Club was founded in 1909 when a nine-hole course was laid out on land rented from the city council and the lord of the manor, J. Atkin Waller of Pen Park. The Club became so popular that it was extended to eighteen holes in 1912 and a clubhouse built. The Club's first professional, E. Crook, was engaged in 1911.
