TGGC is a private members golf club. Founded in 1908, it is one of Wiltshire's
finest courses boasting excellent turf and some truly memorable holes.
Whilst the course owes its existence to the military (in 1895 the war
department began development of a major military training area in Tidworth);
Tidworth Garrison Golf Club owes an even greater debt to legendary golf
course architect Harry Shapland Colt. H.S. Colt is world-renown for
such golfing jewels as Muirfield, Sunningdale and Wentworth. |
